Santa Fe is the capital of New Mexico and is also the highest capital in the world (the city is more than 7,000 feet above sea level).

The median age for Santa Fe residents is 40-years old. Females outnumber males. For every 10 females in Santa Fe, there are 9 males. For students there are two major high schools. The first is Santa Fe High School and the second is Capital High School. There is a community college and two liberal art colleges that are privately owned.

One of Santa Fe's unique appels is the Spanish Pueblo and Territorial style of the homes and businesses. The consistent look throughout the city is one of its main charms.

The real estate market in Santa Fe is fairly consistent, often surviving "bubble bursts" when the real estate market crashes.
